I think this is actually a small roll cloud.
I think this is actually a small roll cloud.
Here I was thinking it was going to be some crazy sex position!
I lovve looking at different types of cloud formations...love tornados too...they're amazing.
These are from a storm that went through Omaha 2 years ago. Never a tornado, just straight through winds. Up by where I lived there were winds of 115mph+. Everything was ruined. Gas stations were torn apart and almost every tree ripped out of the ground in my neighborhood.
Just before it got into the city:
It should be as bright as early afternoon in these pictures, it went straight to darkness. Take note of how bright it was after it passed in the bottom picture.
In front of my house:
Spent the entire duration of the storm pulled over on the side of the interstate/freeway in my trusty 3000GT SL praying that I'd live. One of the scariest moments of my life.
Yea, dont mess with Tornadoes. Always wondered what it would be like to be near one.
I've never actually been hit by a tornado directly. When I lived in a different city in Nebraska I did have the fortune of seeing three in person in one night. Storms get a LOT less fun when you can actually see them and hear the sirens going off. They destroy absolutely everything. The aftermath is simply unreal. Debris is embedded in EVERYTHING. You'll see random items like a spoon that is wedged a few inches deep into an electric pole.
