1992 Kilder Green VR4 - First 4G swap in a 3S. 2.0, auto, awd. 9.65 at 143mph. Now LS swapped. 8.52 at 162.
Sure dont look like a dohc 6g72dett to me so who cares. Just like adam said, its just some dickheads opinion.
the renault in the delorean is definitely on the list for good reason. it's hard to imagine why the 6g72 is even remotely considered in the same category as it. i would have thought that a rotary or two would have made the list.
Well in the form they mentioned it was essentially a 10 year old engine. I think for 1990 it was fairly impressive.
That and a 4-rotor won Le Mans in 1991:
God I love that video.
Kinda hard to call it a failure.

Impressive graphical map display on that mazda vid for 1991!
Yes and no. Obviously it is very basic by today's standards, but that was 20 years ago. Didn't remember seeing real-time displays like that (but I was only 11 in '91). For some reason, instead of watching the vid, I was watching that damn, fuzzy-map and blinking red light!
