I have a 94 VR4, if I went with a 98/99 ECU would I need to upgrade my wiring harness? Also what do the 98/99 ECU's usually run (cost)?

Nice! Hey are the filedropper links still up? I can't seem to get them to work. Also on ebay they are selling mitsu 3 bar sensors. Would one of these work for the oem sensor? just wondering as they are half price on ebay. but i dont want to buy a crap sensor...
    thanks

If those sensors don't have the Mitsubishi part number on them, then they're probably the Omni sensor which is a tight fit (might have to grind the plenum a bit) and it has a different voltage scaling. They could be made to work but I'd have to test them.

I haven't gotten hip-deep in the flashable ECU thing yet, but it's on my agenda.

I'm interested in accumulating whatever I'm going to eventually need, so if I begin with the ECU, is it safe to say only the '98-'99 ECUs will suffice, as others would be a compromise, relatively-speaking?

    Driving a '92 TT, btw.

With a '94 would it be possible to tap in the sensor missing on the intake plenum? Also, what will need to be done with the wiring for said sensor?

Help them, for they know not that which they do not know!

I'm working on a v1.2 which will use the GM 3 bar sensor wired in thru the EGRT. Since there's no EGRT on the 98/99s, that pin on the adaptor harness will need to go to pin 92 on the 98/99 ECU.

Looking for a volunteer for testing this.
