man an i thought i had alot of parts laying around .,i have tried selling so much of it on ebay for 10 bucks a part plus ten shipping and can not get rid of the shit. i dont have any body parts persay, well stuck in the roof of my rental property garage is a 2.5 rs bumper, and in my current house is a tsi bumper. lots of little stuff i guess need to do some cleaning soon, have to pontiac 400's complete , and two escort 1.9l ho engines and trans to . not to mention a whole seperate garage at my grandmas full of triumph bike frames parts engines and trans

He sure does. That's another one of those "kits that will never sell" unless he unloads it. There's just no need to spend $1500 on rear brakes on a 3/S. 9,999 out of 10,000 drivers will just never need that much brake. Less than 1/10 of that "1" out of 10,000 even have the $$ in hand to buy a perfomance upgrade like that. It's good shit but you just can't sell it for what you think it's worth. You have to sell it for what someone will pay. In my case scrapping paid more, and I even sat on the stuff for quite some time.

You know what pisses me off even more is yesterday some quack listed a White 1st gen Stealth TT on Craigslist Denver "For Sale" with a bent frame from a side impact. The rest of the car was cherry, mint condition interior and seats, absolutely unmodded car, it was all stock everything. It was white and had 122K on it. He only wanted $1100 for it because it had been insurance paid out. He could have bought parts like the ones I was holding on to and swapped everything over to a legit vin'd chassi and been on his merry way... but now it's getting scrapped...

I even replied to the ad and offered to pay him $2000 for the car. He said he already got $1500 from the Pull-And-Pay. I would have brought that thing back to life but there goes another one... Pretty sad

Anyway, I'm done with the rant on the white car. I think my next bright idea will be sectioning parts and taking pictures, because I'm curious and it'll be fun...

I hate to see it happen, but unless you're in the business of selling used parts or just have the extra storage, sometimes you have no choice. I've got rid of a few things I regret. I just didn't have the time or the space.
I still have a wall of shelves of parts, floor to ceiling. I hold on to what I can and I'm catching shit for it, lol.

Sucks it went to waste, but I can't blame ya


*Speaking of scrapping old parts... Recycle your old cats and you can buy a bolt-on hi-flow from maximal and have maybe have a few $ leftover
