Damaged dimmer was thrown in the garbage. I'm using another one that i found in a junk yard (rare in Ontario lol).. I dont know if its damaged or not, i just assumed it was good.

I wish i knew some one in town here, that i know personally, that owns a 3S.. just so i can test their rheostat in mine... but theres only a few in town, and they're all old farts.

I'll do the voltage tests and get back to you guys.

    ^ Beat me to it

I believe you just used a resistance setting to perform a voltage test.

    So lets start over:
    Step 1) unplug the dimmer/rheostat
step 2) set the meter to DCV-20
step 3) turn on the parking light/headlight switch
step 4) place the red probe on green/white and black probe on black, record the voltage
step 5) place the red probe on black/yellow and the black probe on black, record the voltage

ahhh sorry man. I'm not really good with electrical lol.

Here are the results for the 20 in the DCV area.

    black/yellow = 11.24
    green/white = 11.24
    black = 0.05

dash lights still won't come on, with and without the radio harness plugged in.

    OK, so
you measured from the black/yellow to the black and got 11.24
    and
you measured from the green/white to the black and got 11.24
What did you measure to the black to get 0.05?
Or did you measure all three to ground?

Just an odd though here but when you put the dimmer in did you try turning up the knob to make sure the lights were bright enough to see?

Try putting the dimmer back in and check those voltages again with the dimmer hooked up.
Move the knob around and see if the voltage on the black/yellow wire changes.
If you feel the dimmer getting warm SHUT IT OFF!!
