    In a way it seems silly to target silos. If they launched an attack on us there wouldn’t be anything there by the time anything of theirs got to them. Even a sub attack couldn’t reach them in time. I believe that’s why silos aren’t built on the coast.

    This is also a map from the 80's supposedly, so things that may have been considered important then are not now. Don't really know why they'd attack Maine, perhaps to strike a blow to the Red Lobster chain, but other than that...

    Agreed. The missiles would not be in the silos by the time their ICBMs got here.
