I feel this thread might be heading in a different direction than anticipated. I could care less about status symbols. This thread is hypothetical in its origin. I can and would argue both sides because both are viable reasons/options. With that said i find myself leaning toward posting up either your "first time using any 3s forum ", or when you purchased your first 3s. I only say this because people come and go here all the time and i would hate to disrespect someone who doesnt use the forums as often as others, but yet has a solid background. I also remember when i was a noob and had no idea who to listen to. Granted join date doesnt mean you know squat, just that you have been around the block.

I guess it is more of a respect your elders thing. Granted, not all people will deserve it and do lose it. It's like rank in the military, when I see rank, I respect that person based on the rank. When they open their mouths, thats when I determine from that point if they deserve the respect or not and adjust accordingly.
