Any jeep guys out there

Its a grand cherokee.
Just wanting to know what to watch out for. It sounds like it has a case of lifter tick. Changed oil and it helped a little. Rotors got chewed up easily like someone else said. Other than that it is flawless. But with over 100k on the clock and a baby on the way I want to be prepared.

More details and we can point you in a better direction - trim level, engine, 4wd system?

Ah you're all set then. Laredo has the climate control that doesn't break, the 4.0L is a brick shithouse, and RWD means no tcase to worry about.

Just change the ATF and the gear oil in the rear end and you'll be good to go.

My thoughts exactly. I actually have a 2000 Grand Cherokee 2WD 4.0 sitting in my yard right now. It belongs to a friend of mine. His dad gave it to him because it popped the head. I told him he's stupid for even taking it because its not going to save him in the winter. Granted I have driven RWD in the winter when I had my Mustang, but I know how to drive. He's not the brightest crayon in the box though.

That was just Chrysler trying to target the masses. In all honesty while being here in utah ive only needed to put mine in 4x twice. They actually do surprisingly well as rwd vehicles in the elements.

working in a shop i see all kinds of vehicles. i shouldnt have to point out my reasons WHY i wont buy a chrysler product.


plus. i already have a montero. stock for stock itll embarass a cherokee/grand.
