Been trucking along with this old goat for a while now.

    C2Q6600 3.0 GHZ - Tuniq Tower
6GB Corsair 1066 Dominator ram w/ ram fan
    Abit iP35-Pro MoBo
eVGA GTX 285, SSC clocks (702/1598/1305)
WD Velociraptor 150 GB OS drive
WD REII 250 GB data drive
    CM 690 w/ 2 120mm intake fans, 1 120mm, 2 140mm exhaust
    Acer AL2416W 24" 1920X1200 LCD
    Logitech Z2300 2.1 speakers

Built the main part of the system about 3.5 years ago or so. Only additions has been 4GB of ram (2GB is not enough for Win7 x64), the 150GB VRaptor, and the 285. I'm waiting for more info on Sandy Bridge, SSD tech to mature some more, and the next refresh of nVidia cards before I start looking into a new ground up build.

And you guys need to learn some cable management.

and before I hear anything about the dust: I live in Arizona! That's less than a week since last cleaning! I blow out my filters almost daily and still have dust problems.

Nice comp Jeremy. 3.5 years ago that would have cost a pretty penny. Can tell by the Abit motherboard that it in ancient. I don't think they even make those anymore :P.

I usually spend about 1-1.2k a year on a computer. Lets me play the latest greatest at max setting.

Oh and don't hate. My comp has pretty cabling heh.

My cabling sucks because of the stupid power supply. The cables are all too short, or too damn long. I pulled it all apart to clean it (Antec 900 has no filters ) and never bothered cleaning it up again.

I was upset when Abit died. I've used their boards ever since the day of the BE6-II and the BP-6 (had both of them). I used to upgrade about every 18 months or so, but moving here, taking a 6K/yr paycut, and adding 1 girlfriend and 3 kids to my budget has made it pretty hard to continue that upgrading. Add to the fact I need to keep her pc up to date (2.8GHz C2D, gigabyte p45 board, 4GB ballistix DDR2 800, GTX 260 216SP, 150GB Vraptor, and her original tiny 80GB from the Dell p4 system she brought with her on win 7 x64 in some shiny case that I don't remember the name but she wanted) and my system is really starting to show it's age. I will say, though, that the initial cost was stupid high, but the longevity I've got out of it has been amazing. Really impressed with this system over the years.

I also use to be a huge fan of Abit until they went under. Used them for all my builds. I pretty much stick with ASUS now. Out of the last 15 boards I have used 2 of them were other manufacturers(Gigabyte and DFI) and both were DOA so I can't bring me self to use another company anymore lol.

Jeremy C, I love how you organized your cables, I did something similar to that by just zip tying them out of the way and hidden.

Here's my collection of computers. Besides the laptop and the most of the DOS box I built all of these computers.

    Main System: Orion

    CPU: Intel Core i7 860 ~ Zalman CNPS9900
    Mobo: MSI P55-GD80
Video Card: VisionTek Radeon HD 4850 512MB Zalman VF1000
Sound Card: Creative Labs X-Fi Platinum
    Case: ThermalTake Armor Xaser VA8000B
    RAM: Mushkin Blackline 8GB PC3 10666 8-8-8-24
    Power Supply: Corsair 620HX
    HDDs: Seagate 320GB, 400GB, 750GB, 1.5TBx2 2TBx2 SATA, 250GB USB
    Optical: Plextor PX-B320SA BD-Rom/DVD-RW SATA
    Monitors: Samsung SyncMaster 225BW 22" & 941BW 19" widscreen LCDs
    Speakers: Klipsch Pro Media 2.1
    OS: Windows 7 64bit

This system is about to get an overhaul. I'm going to be replaced with a Lian Li PC7FNWX. The PSU is going to be replaced with another Corsair. Thinking a 740WATT. I'm going to be doing Murdermod sleeving on everything, adding a fan controller, and putting another optical drive in. I'm finding I really need two with all the ripping I'm doing.

    The HTPC: Aries

    CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 ~ Zalman CNPS8700
    Mobo: Asus P5QPL-VM EPU
Video Card: MSI Radeon HD 5450 512MB
    Case: Zalman HD503
    RAM: Mushkin Blackline 4GB PC2 6400 4-4-4-12
    Power Supply: Corsair 450VX
    HDD: Seagate 320GB
    Optical: Plextor PX-B320SA BD-Rom/DVD-RW SATA
    Monitor: Samsung LN40B550 40" LCD
    Speakers: Home Theater
    OS: Windows 7 32bit

I just recently replaced the receiver. Still cleaning up all the wiring. I use this system to stream music, movies, and T.V. shows from my main system. I also use as a Blu Ray player. I love this thing. I even use it to stream Netflix and watch Hulu and some other internet T.V. It also can do anything a normal computer can do. I just love this thing. One upgrade I would like to do is an SSD

    Backup System: Apollo

    CPU: Intel Pentium 3 1GHz
    Mobo: A Open Generic
    Video Card: nVidia GeForce FX5900
Sound Card: Creative Labs Sound Blaster Live!
    Case: Cooler Master Centurion Blue/Black
    RAM: Samsung Original 512MB 2-2-2-4
    Power Supply: Enlight 300 WATT
    HDD: Seagate 120GB
    Optical: Dell DVD-Rom/CD-RW
    Monitor: Asus 19" Widesceen
Speakers: Some cheap creative labs 2.1s
    OS: Windows XP Pro

This a system I use for some slightly older games that don't play well in Vista/7 or on newer hardware. Games like the first Max Payne or Age of Mytholigies and Moto Racer. It was a system I bought from an old job for $25. It was branded as an A Open computer. I rebuilt it with a better looking case, better PSU, better memory, bigger/faster HDD, CD burner/DVD rom, Zip drive, black floppy, better sound card, and video card. I think the only thing I kept was the mobo and processor. Pretty soon I'm going to be sleeving all the wiring inside this as well. Also, the speakers are gone. They started on fire.

    The DOS Box:

    CPU: Intel Pentium I 133MHz
    Mobo: Generic
    Video Card: Cirrus Logic 2MB
Sound Card: Creative Labs Sound Blaster 16
    Case: Packard Bell
    RAM: 48MB SIMMS
    Power Supply: Generic
    HDD: Seagate 2.1GB
    Optical: Generic 4x CD-Rom
    Monitor: Asus 19" Widescreen
Speakers: Also need to be upgraded
    OS: Windows 3.11

That monitor has been replaced with a 19" from Asus, but DOS is still win widescreen. That monitor was moved to be used for system diagnosis and builds back in my work room. This thing was my first computer back in 1995. I keep it around for one purpose alone and that's for playing my old DOS games. No emulation, just pure unadulterated DOS. Since I have a lot of DOS games and spare parts up the butt it just seems logical. The computer against the wall is a customer's system that they can't pay for and it's not worth anything to sell. Also, there's nothing like playing old DOS games in widescreen!

Other than that I have three other desktops, a test bench, and my laptop that aren't worth mentioning.
