has anyone used/tested these out? I am looking for a datalogging solution, and was wondering if this was a good route to go.

Are you asking whether Evoscan is a good way to go? I think Evoscan and HHH are the most cost effective and maybe the only available solutions for hybrids. I can guarantee my cable connects on 1994-1999 cars and supports Evoscan features except for reflash.

Other software might work as long as it supports ISO9141-2.
