Having worked in retail for the better part of 5 years, this doesn't strike me as odd. We had MANUAL wheelchairs at the store in addition to the powered scooters, and I've personally had to help an old lady from one to the other after the battery died. But by all means, please invent new ways to mock people for having different conceptualizations of an event than your own myopic views.

A few months back (when I was still living in Europe), I was traveling on business in the UK and stopped off at a pub for a pint. The pub was nearly dead, as the only two patrons there besides myself--were two rather portly ladies loudly chattering to each other. Their accents seemed a bit off from the Cockney I was expecting, so I walked over to their table and asked, "Are you two ladies from Scotland?"
