Just a word to the wise, do what I did. Get the stuff when you can afford it, and don't sell your other stuff quite yet. I kept my old ECU and SAFC just in case there is a problem, because I know that setup will work

Just after I put up a thread It would suck to sell everything and it not work out with the Montero ECU since I put a ton of time into a clean tuning setup but I'm on stock injectors so no biggie if I have to go stock ECU for a little or anything.. We'll see although I'm really anxious to do the Montero setup.

Aaron, you're not going to be able to take advantage of my boost gauge mods, logging via EVO X map sensor nor tuning boost via the ECU.

Thanks again Aaron for the open communication. I know its hard for some, but this is big news and people are going to be asking tons of questions. I just hope they want to share the information with us. It would be a big hurdle potentially out of the way.

Take the thread down? I dont see this not working, but its better to be safe then sorry. It's still in the testing phase.

Not like I can't pull the ECU out and solder on the surface mount parts But I probably won't use that stuff, though it'd be ncie to have WB02 logging.

I think most of the information will be shared in time. But like Brett said, it may just be easier to say, get this ECU from this guy, this harness from that guy, get openport from here, download this software, flash this rom on, and start tuning.

Hmm, this may be a great mod for those of us who don't plan on going over 550-660cc injectors, and only running a max of 17-18 psi. Do you know how much room for growth there is with this setup? I mean, would it be possible to go full TD05 and 720 or larger injectors while still being able to tune properly?

This isn't too hard. Especially with the rear o2 disabled in the code. Hardware wise, you'd just take the 5-volt out from the WB and install it into one of the 5v input pins. Then to keep it simple, assign that pin to a MUT address with ecuflash and tell evoscan where to find it.

The signal translation can be done in evoscan.

If you want to set this up, give me a shout and I'll walk you thru it. Ask Brett for a spare pin connector when he returns or you can just cut/splice into your adaptor harness.

The only info I need from you is which brand wideband you're running.

Btw, the same thing can be done with a map sensor if you want to log boost. There's already an input for that on your ecu as well.

There is no limit. You can run 2000cc injectors with e85 if you so desired. I still have to locate and disassemble the idle tables so they can be fine tuned but the ecu can calculate any fuel injector.

The biggest problem is, everything hooked up in my adapter harness is needed, and the things that are hooked up in the adapter harness, that aren't working, are because of missing parts in the ECU Now if I soldered on the stuff for all the 02 sensors, then I could use one of those I suppose, which would make sense actually I may solder the stuff for the other front 02 sensor thats not hooked up, and that will leave a rear 02 sensor hookedup that can be used as a WB02 place :chin:

Right now I dont have any open 5v sources, but we could always make one, no problem.
