2011 3S Calendar Photo submissions end 9-18-2010

It has nothing to do with not liking a photo and it just being bad. They ARE bad photos and thats the problem. If these people were better photgraphers then they would show it in there work and not submit crap.

And yes once posted they are open for criticism.

I never saw a disclaimer when I was posting that said they were open to criticism, and I sure as hell don't remember asking for it. Like I said, you don't know the intent, you shouldn't criticize. If you don't want to have common courtesy thats your choice.

I mean the whole bold part is an opinion, and you are trying to argue and opinion, which is a joke.

I don't understand how you can give people so much warning this year and the selection is so small. There are more bad shots than good shots yet again.

I would never submit a pic that has another vehicle in the background. That might be a hint at one of my gripes for several of the pictures.

I found 10 I could select. I am by no means a photography expert, and I know what would look good in a calender and what should get thrown on the chopping room floor. Some people have no common sense. You can tell just by the photos they submitted.

This one is some advise, though weeks late:

In my opinion no it wouldn't. Engine bay shots, interior shots, "nut and bolt" shots do not belong in a CAR calender. I have had probably 25 car calenders over my lifetime and not one ever had anything but pics of the exterior. Sure some people have nice engine bays, but they don't belong in this calender.

Exactly, it doesn't take a photgraphy expert to know what looks good and what doesn't. I think some people procrastinated like a mo fo and just either hurried pics and submitted crap, or submitted older photos already taken that have shitty surroundings.

I've already said that my car is in no condition to submit for a calender. If it were I could go out and take a picture better than 80% of those submitted in a matter of 5 minutes. Criticism is a good thing and will only make people better at what they do. If they can't take criticism then they shouldn't post pics.

I have no issue with anyone criticizing what I do. It is how I learn, but you seem to have some bullshit arrogant chip on your shoulder that just must be expressed.

I have much respect for you and your contributions to the platform, but the previous posts would indicate a self-righteous teenage punk with nothing better to do. I know that's not the case, but there is no indication of you trying to better anyone's abilities in the context of your posts...

Yes, there are some not so great pics there, but there are some good ones aswell. Vote for what you like, and leave it at that.
