    Brutal honesty

Hello gang, I am asking for straight honest opinion on how these turned out:

Would you use them or have them redone?

I saw them on FB and wasn't going to comment, but since you're asking...not a fan at all. The darting and seemingly random stitching looks very odd, and amateurish. Sorry.

I agree, great idea that missed the mark.

Help them, for they know not that which they do not know!

I wonder if there is another material that could do the job without any seams. It appears that the current selection is quite rigid.

I will be contacting The Miami Corporation (the place I bought the material) for different options.

Is there a way to do it without the stitching? Similar to the factory leather wrapped pillars? I don't know how that would work though with the way the pods stick out unless it was stretched or something.

I think they'd look better with the gauges installed, GU, but I think you've been hewing to a higher standard everywhere else.

Possibly the idea could be refined with a different, more elastic fabric, but I think I would be more inclined to mold the pod to the trim smoothly, then see if you could get a color-match with, oh, plasti-dip or something.

Maybe take the interior quarter-trims down and finish them the same way to get a texture match?

If you could get the color close, I think that would be pretty nifty.
Ranked No. #1 in initial quality

Idiots, simply by being idiots, seem capable of achieving randomly bad things that are beyond the imaginings of sensible people.

With a shape THAT complex stitching can not be avoided I am afraid.

Kevin I am holding out final decision with pictures of them in the car with gauges installed.
