I just worry about how much flow you can get through the small outlet of the factory manifolds. That was one of the issues with adapter plates.

^adapter plates made great power for people. Can you point me to where they were a major restriction that was solved with td05 headers?

Stock Td04 headers have supported 680 awhp so far with the limit being the dr750 turbos, Nobody has tested the true limits of the td04 setup, or hell, tested the limits of a tubular td04 upgrade.

Gil at GCtech started to show these some love, showing a 6awhp gain in litearally just swapping the front oem header with his tubular one on a VIRGIN STOCK CAR.

    Stock boost.
    Stock exhaust with cats.
    Stock tune.

This illustrates gains to still be had, and also notes that the td04 header limits havent been explored as nobody has stuck with them enough to see what they can do.

Hx52 billet 67mm comp wheel, 350Z headers, Custom 4" exhaust, STM avenger intake mod, Denso 1250's, twin walbro 400's, dual pump/dual feed braided lines from tank to rails,Tial 50mm BOV, Tial 60mm wg, Spec 4+ with hub welded and balanced, Rays Bellhousing brace, flash ECU with openport 2.0 tune, MSD coils with KB boost a spark, MSD race ignition wires, Odyssey PC680, CX racing fmic 1000hp core 28x12x4, ABS delete, EGR delete, AC delete, cruise delete, pansy patrol pulley reduction, Vac reduction

I dunno, ask Adam, he'd know since he had both. Think Trevor played this game also.

Not the front without a lot of welding.

I wouldn't consider welding 4 runner to flange seams under 2" in size dia. "a lot" of welding. I welded mine in under an hour, including grinding.

---he is right though, the way the front manifold is designed from the factory, if you want to port/hone it out, it's going to take some reverse welding to ensure it doesn't crack. Support rods between flanges may also not be a bad idea either....

Most aftermarket manifolds already are the max diameter for the triangle flange to begin with. No porting necessary.

Well, I got word from Bill today @ bullseye, and unfortunately its seems that when they noted that the td05/td04 adapter housings they had in the past were made, it may have been for a different vehicle application, meaning some bad news

The R/D costs would be around to 20,000 to retool a mold, and they would need a donor vehicle to mock these onto for fitment.

I've currently asked about what the prev vehicle application that their td04/05 adapter was designed for and to see if it can't be retrofitted with some alternative machining to our cars instead

I'm awaiting his response, otherwise I'm not sure this will get off the ground unless a larger vendor lends some assistance here.

They can use my car, and sign me up for a set.
