Assuming Bama stays unbeaten, who matches up with them the best? FSU? OSU? Stanford? Baylor?
    Famous Jameis and the boys.

Oregon was terribly disappointing last night and Stanford looked incredible up until that near 4th quarter implosion.

FSU & Stanford's defenses are better than they get credit for and Bama's isn't that great. Remember A&M

That game isn't a fair comparison for their D. Their offense was scoring so fast that their D never had a chance to catch their breath.

Al Borges needs to be fired tomorrow. And then maybe Michigan can afford to buy Brady Hoke a fucking headset so he can finally know what the hell is going on.

I predict a shootout. Our defense is average. Despite us giving up large chunks of yardage every game we do a decent job of keeping teams out of the endzone. If we continue our trend of only having to pass 8-9 times a game then it will have been a long night for the Dawgs.

It's funny. People thing Malzahn runs some sort of smoke and mirrors offense when really the past few games we've just been playing smashmouth football. It looks eerily like what Auburn was doing in the early '80s except we're not running the wishbone.

Based on similar opponents, OSU vs Texas will be another nail biter. Per adjustedstats, Texas has a 40.4% chance of winning, heh.

But remember how I figured Baylor's depth would be tested as they went through the teeth of their schedule? Texas will be without 6 starters for the OSU game... QB (Ash*, Jr, Concussion), HB (Gray**, So, Achilles), DT (Whaley**, Sr, knee), LB (Hicks**, Jr, Achilles), OT (Cochran*, Jr, Knee) ...

    * may develop into NFL talent
    ** NFL talent

And it's official, the blue print to stop the McCoy-led Texas offense is out and proven: cover-0, jam the WR's, use pass interference in place of safety help, overload the LOS to hurry the pass and stuff the run. Ole Miss switched to it in the 2nd half and shut Texas out after a 23 point 1st half). Iowa St (UT fumbled..), Kansas (close until mid 3rd), and West Virginia (OT) all used it, as successfully as their players could, each stifling UT for long stretches...

KSU, OU, and TCU -- better defenses -- opted to respect Case with their typical defenses with safeties and cushions, and Texas dominated them with the running game and efficient passing. Will OSU sell out and shut down Case @ DKR like Ole Miss did?

It looks like Texas will lose 2 of 3, but I have faith in......................

...............the Texas running game and B12 offenses that all struggle to pass the ball (except Baylor and uh, OSU).

UGA hasn't been able to defend the outside running play be it a toss sweep or a screen pass in years. run left, run right and close your eyes and throw it on 3rd and whatever and you'll have much success. it's funny after the GT game in athens a couple of years ago I heard a what appeared to be about 18-19 year old girl on the phone, "I don't get it they have 3 plays. that's it. we all know it's coming and they can't stop it!". that was Willy Martinez's last year.

That's basically us. We run three base run plays but can do so many things with them that teams have to respect every option. One false move by a LB or corner and it's a huge gain.

    Interesting statistics:

    Auburn is currently...

    * No.1 in the nation in yards per rush on 1st down.
    * No. 8 in the nation in yards per rush on 2nd down.
    * No. 4 in the nation in yards per rush on 3rd down.
    * No. 3 in the nation in rushing yardage during the 1st quarter.
    * No. 1 in the nation in rushing yardage during the 2nd quarter.
    * No. 10 in the nation in rushing yardage during the 3rd quarter.
    * No. 1 in the nation in rushing yardage during the 4th quarter.
    * No. 2 in the nation in run-plays of 10-yards or more.
    * No. 3 in the nation in run-plays of 20-yards or more.
    * No. 3 in the nation in rushing TD's.
    * No. 3 in the nation in producing 1st downs.
