Also, could anyone imagine if a president came out and gave this speech. That would be incredible. One of the best speeches I've heard. Too bad our politicians are a bunch of knobs.

I think they are starting to see the light. My brother is a big democrat and even he had very critical things to say about this government. Unfortunately I don't think it really matters who is in office, we are loosing freedoms at an alarming rate. A lot of the BS started back under Bush after 911.

without redirecting this into the political section, it probably has to do with opportunism. and i wouldn't be surprised if the name "bilderberg" came up at least once.

Especially if you live in a metropolitan area, carry now more than ever. The real hash tags should be #RandomActsOfViolentMurder

And you can bet he's walking unless it's a brain dead jury.

scary. why the fuck am i out here defending america? why? is THIS what i'm protecting? seriously...wtf.

    *edit*
i know we have a 1st amendment and all, but have we so completely lost faith in the JUDICIAL system, that people will resort to violence--regardless of the facts?

and furthermore, why the JUDICIAL system? sure, it hasn't been doing a great job of cracking-down on BS laws that are unconstitutional...but why start there? isn't the LEGISLATIVE system the crux of the problem to begin with?

Not to deflect the thread, but had something neat happen a few days ago.

Back around 1960, my folks bought a 640 acre plot w/farmhouse on Lake Huron, about 35 miles south of Sault Ste. Marie, MI.

While scouting the property after moving in, my dad found, in an old ramshackle hunting cabin, three boxes of Eley Brothers (England) pin-fire 16 Ga shot shells - one box was full (100 empty shells), one had 88 shells, and the third had 9 loaded shells in it.

He's been hauling these things all over God's creation since then.

He called me a while back and asked if I'd help him find out if they're worth anything, so I scouted around Ebay, etc, and found pinfire shells of various European manufacture selling for anywhere from $5 to $25 each, some rifle cartridges and an empty box from an Italian or German company selling for $700; not much beyond that.

Asked around my circle (I have several real firearms-wise buddies), and my friend Nigel suggested talking to the people at JD Julia (big auction-house, with a heavy-duty firearms division), so I emailed them the relevant details - took them two weeks to get back - "Well, it's a very limited market, not many people, blah, blah, blah...".

I sent the guy some pics, and he sends me a full-bore fapper fan-letter, 'holy shit, you may have struck the pin-fire motherlode', and he thinks my Dad's little trove could fetch upwards of 10K.

    Neat, huh?

Auction will be in October; I'll try to remember to update.
