MagPul FMG9: Prototype 9mm Folding Submachine Gun

only gun on the list i'd say is actually cooler than the P90 (and yes, i'm a HUGE goldeneye n64 fan).

Nice. It shoots 9x19 so ammo wouldn't be too terribly expensive either. P90 is a cool gun. Shoots an odd round like a 5.7mm or something like that IIRC.

the videos shown on the special last night showed a FULLY FUNCTIONING prototype. unfold, aim, fire.

this isn't the first "folding machine gun" (the first was made 20 some years ago) but it is more advanced.

yes, the p90 uses a unique ammo; just like the HK mp7 has it's own unique ammo too.

i'd say for overall versatility, the p90 is the best. for ease of use, the mp7 is probably a bit better. but for sheer coolness and conceal-ability, the FMG is king.

The Heckler and Koch uses 4.6mm which is insanely small. Quite a bit smaller than a .22 even. I like most everything German, especially H&K, but that is too small of a caliber.

Dude. Mac10 has street cred y0. There is a reason it is referred to as the "street sweeper".

you should have seen the demo they did with the mp5 vs the mp7. the mp5 uses 9mm parabellum. the mp7 uses the 4.6--but it's shaped like a rifle bullet. they test fired both at a "bulletproof vest". 9mm stopped. 4.6 penetrated all the way through the front, dummy in the middle, and the rear of the vest. same firing distance with both weapons.

do NOT count the mp7 out just because it has a smaller caliber.

The 4.7 penetrated because it IS a rifle round. That is like saying the 4.7 is better than a .40 S&W. No. It is thin. If you really want armor penetration get a 5.56 NATO AR-15 with armor piercing bullets that have a tungsten-alloy core. A 4.7mm has a similar size as a pellet gun. It is a unique and cool gun. Quite useless for practicality.
