Hey, I'm driving an antique!
Paying for whatever 'full coverage' amounts to through AAA currently, $317/6 mos.
What sorts of options exist for what sort of use/mileage?
What else is out there?

Idiots, simply by being idiots, seem capable of achieving randomly bad things that are beyond the imaginings of sensible people.

if you cant fix it with a hammer...then you have an electrical problem
if you don't mind never driving it, haggarty is the ticket.

Grand a year with a 5k mileage limit isn't great compared to rates for here. So what is insurance normally?
I mean the key thing is the rates for your area. I pay about a grand a year at age 25 with no mileage limits. Looked into Haggerty and it was like 300 bucks or something obscenely cheap like that, but only 3 or 4k miles I think. I remember it was no where near enough to actually use the vehicle.
Mods: 2g 3k body conversion, 2g Brake upgrade, Rota P45R rims
Projects: Interior sound deadening, 14Bs, forged bottom end, custom radiator and sound mounts
It was a couple years ago... maybe it is very cheap. Once I get my truck VR-4 will get Hagerty for full value + mods.
Well, right now I've got full coverage and unlimited miles for $317 every six months; storage when it's parked is cheaper, of course, and I certainly don't live in a high-risk area.
Maybe there's nothing to be gained...
Nathan, your '98 is also uber-rare by comparison.
I have Grundy insurance with my Stealth. YOU can pick whatever dollar amount you want the car insured to, your choice. Depending on the value you declare, you may or may not have to have an appraisal done, but, I'm really happy with the insurance so far. Price is not super cheap, but its fair for a car you have a lot invested into or is really rare. I tried Haggerty, and even though the car would be driven less than 1000 miles a year, they told me to go pound sand cause the car made too much power, grr.

Sounds like sitting tight is as good a plan as any - good insight, Jesse, thanks.![]()
