I was wondering what happened... I was getting script errors on my work machine, (XP,IE8) couldn't make the site work for more than a couple minutes today. Came home and got the same thing on my computer at home. Switched to firefox, and it was fine. Saw this thread, Opened the site back up in IE8, immediately closed chat, and it seems to be working fine...

here's one thought i had alan.

shoutbox eliminates the "invisibility" status for people who have it enabled. it would be nice if thread updates were only provided for people NOT set to invisible.

I don't really use the chat function but reading this thread that was one of my first thoughts. Why not just have a toggle button to turn the updates on or off?

I'm sure Alan is busy with other stuff after this BIG update but that would be a great option I'm sure he can do.
