    Best UCE repair company

Scot brought his non starting car to me today, turned out to be the ECU, luckily after testing a few things and hearing the IAC freaking out I went for the ECU. Popped a tester I have in and started right up, his no start, mine start.

Took his apart and has cap leakage and board corrosion in MANY spots not just cap leakage damage.

So I need a good repair facility, Hard to trust most as they don't really repair the actual damage nor have the testing equipment to test their repairs and or won't "warranty" it when it goes bad 2 weeks later. As you might be able to tell, I have been there done that.

    So, what place is good?

Well, I've personally had an AvPro ecu fail in less than a year. So I wouldn't recommend them. They did however, honor their warranty.

Many people recommend Rymer over on the other boards but I haven't had any personal experiences with him.

My last corespondence with them indicated that with all their other work they no longer work on 3S ECU's....and before I think they only dabbled in them, although they did/do good work.
I've heard very good things about rymer as well...

Eric does a great job... He's built a test bench to run them on , and has his own car to test them in, and he does warranty his work.

It is just a side job for him, he does have a day job, and he's been pretty overwhelmed with his new popularity on these boards... I find it best to have some cores rebuild and stocked in advance, then I don't have to rush him to get one back...

I read the thread title at first and thought what the hell is a UCE?

Rymer is the only guy repairing ecus lately I have heard good reviews on. Why not see if Brett can repair it for you? He is able to clone ecus to give them the VR-4 circuitry and also does a completely new coating on the whole board. I don't see why he couldn't repair a regular ecu and do a great job.
