I know a lot don't offer, but there are plenty that do. So, you find one that does. Sink that kind of money into a car, that sees the streets often...got to have it. It's just asking for it, being as high profile as she is, with a car built to that extreme. A moving target, if you will. Not that I'm condemning her at all, this situation sucks big time.

I had a ton of money in my Stealth, but it never saw street duty, and was always in the garage at IPS so it was covered under their insurance. Had I brought it home, that would've been the 1st thing I did, get it properly insured.

I agree with you completely. Playing with fire, not having agreed value insurance on a car like that.

Also, if it isn't a scam, why slice the car into pieces? Regular thieves who just want to fence high value parts aren't going to waste time cutting a car into wedges. They'll strip it, dump it, and GTFO.

However, cutting the car into pieces guarantees an insurance payout.

At the very least it's highly suspicious. But since it's some 'pretty girl' on the internet, the leg humper brigade gives her a free pass.

I've known Jess for years. She didn't organize to have her car stripped for the insurance money. She makes good money, and is just not the type to do something like that.

Get your head out of your ass Jeff and stop making assumptions because she's a "pretty girl" with a highly modified car.

yeah, jeff...be careful. if you piss off the GZP & leg-humping company they keep, you become unpopular very fast.

Having your vehicle sitting on a trailer is worse than having it sitting on the ground. Much easier to steal. Unless you have that trailer seriously locked down. I can back my truck up to a trailer and be gone with it pretty damn quick.

So in a way it was kind of "out blowing in the wind". Anyways, that's my thought. Hope I read that comment right. Either way, sucks to be that Supra.

Last I heard she had over $150k into that car, so while it's possible this may have been staged, I would say it's unlikely. However, it is odd that they cut the car up like that IMO. Only reason I could see thieves doing that is to make the pieces easier to dispose of, rather than having an entire chassis laying somewhere.

Either way, it's a bad end for a car.

In the old days, they used to shoot horse thieves, but today, car thieves don't get punished seriously enough for them to quit. I'm glad I can afford a place with a garage. At least I know my car is safe when it's home.

the parts i see cut up are not the parts worth much, quarter panel, doors .. the money would be in the motor, mods, interior, audio etc. it looks like they took the valuable stuff ..maybe picture does not show everthing
