Only one???? is it legal to carry a gun in a vehicle over there? it used to be legal here but that changed 10 years ago. It's also not legal to own a hand gun unless your a member of a gun club and the gun is stored at the club.

Absolutely. Carrying a gun in a vehicle is completely legit as long as you follow a few certain guidelines. Usually have one in the VR4.

It varies by state, but in most states, including mine, you can carry a concealed pistol if you have a permit to do so. You need to be 21+, get a formal background check (no felonies, no restraining orders, no mental problems) and prove that you are competent with a weapon to do so. If you get the permit you can conceal a pistol anywhere, jacket, bag, pants pocket, car, etc. The only exception is that you are forbidden from entering a school, government building, bank or any restaurant that sells alcohol while wearing your concealed weapon.

Conversely, there is no permit requirement at all if you intend to wear the weapon in a conspicuous manner. If you wear a gun on your belt, and a rifle on your back, like John Marston from Red Dead Redemption [I love] you can still walk through downtown without any license. (Same restrictions on where you can go though, can't carry in a court of law). When driving, the gun must be very obvious (instantly spotted by a cop that pulls you over), or you must have it locked in the trunk (SUV doesn't count), otherwise you need the permit.

The stupidity is that each state has their own permit and most of them don't respect the others. We need Federal laws to force State to State reciprocity in the same way that drivers license reciprocity is guaranteed. Some states are actually dicks and don't allow anyone to conceal a weapon (even their off-duty cops - now fixed due to Federal intervention mandating that off-duty cops have that right anywhere).

In WI yes. It must be in a case and unloaded. You must also let the police know if they ask . lol. And you have to be 21 to own a handgun here.
