you realise that 02 harnesses cannot be extended?

be wary, quite a few of us have attempted to do that and the 02 stopped working at all.

If thats the case then several of the links in the TT conversion thread should be removed.

I've extended O2 harnesses before successfully. Keep in mind the resistance of the circuit plays a major part in the sensor readings, and proper shielding is mandatory.

I've extended them also. A bunch of TT FWD have done it. I don't think you are supposed to solder them though.

Me too. Of course, those were NBO2's. How did you shield them? All I did was solder and heat shrink... Never had an issue.

I had to post here... A proper solder joint will add minimal resistance to a circuit. I haven't personally tested it, but I can sit here and measure the resistance of a bunch of wire, cut it in half and solder it back together and prove that the difference is trivial (likely not measurable with the Fluke meters we have here)

Extending the harness is a different story, but as long as you don't use thinner wire or extend it an obnoxious distance there's nothing wrong with extending it IMO.

Then they did it wrong. Don't use shitty wire or add 100ft of it and you're fine. Resistance of 8 ga copper wire is only like .6ohm/1000ft.
