We won't be able to caravan... I'll be heading down on Friday, Alan will come on Saturday I think. Registration SHOULD start earlier, but with added events it means a lot of changes to the system so it depends on when he gets it ready. Remember - we both have full-time jobs, too, so we're doing the best we can. We'll try, though.

Yes. There are going to be some changes, but we'll definitely be having them. That was a major negotiating point for us.

Yes I want to see someone else sprint with that much liquor in system and not vomit afterwards. Holy alcohol rush to the head.

I'll only say this once here; you guys and gals do not know how lucky nothing serious happened during the shopping cart drags. Doing that stunt was no worse off than the lack of judgement that happened at 3 am. I have been trained in industrial safety and have a pretty good understanding of risk assessment and to be drunk and to run balls out while pushing another drunk in a shopping cart through a parking lot is just asking for some serious bad karma. Just one unseen rock under the wheel or a little pot hole or crack will send someone to the hospital. Some sane adult in charge needs to rethink the shopping cart drags as an event before someone gets seriously hurt.
Facts: high center of gravity, small wheels, front wheels swivel independently and are not controlled by anyone, cart rider has no helmet on or any other protective clothing, asphalt is abrasive to human skin, drunk pusher has impaired reflexes and cannot respond properly to a bad situation.

Here is a rule that you can take to the bank; if you repeat a scenario enough times in a row something unexpected will happen. Example, no matter how good you are with a hammer, if you take a box of nails and hammer them quickly one at a time into a 2x4 by holding them with your fingers, you will hit your fingers with the hammer eventually. It is the law of averages combined with the action. What kind of danger do I see in a shopping car drag? Broken arm, broken collar bone, severe road rash, concussion, fractured vertebrae, paralysis, death. Man steps up on a 24" riser, looses balance and falls backwards striking head on the ground, man expires. True story. Conditions don't really have to be that bad to cause serious injury or death.
