For those who don't know Chris and Vicky are the biggest animal lovers on the planet possibly... for those who remember Chris had a not so lovely photo-op with a dog a few years back and still doesn't hold any grudges about it....

So vicky would you have asked Chris to keep it if it survived?

If it was a survivable injury we would have taken it to the Wild cat sanctuary just outside Charlotte.

Was it stupid to pick up a wild injured bobcat? Some would say. I wouldn't. He was in severe pain and distress. He needed help. I am glad we were able to give it to him. Who knows how long he would have laid there on the hot pavement in severe pain until finally passing.

He was on the back seat for a little while but moved and ended up on the floor so I got him off the floor and carried him on my lap for the rest of the trip to the vet. Dangerous? Yes. But we are all creatures and should all be given the same respect and compassion.

Nope. As Chris said, a rescue or sanctuary would have been our goal. Even if it had been a regular stray, we can't take anymore now. We can't make that commitment to them financially or by being here (with the transplant coming up).

Would rather kill it to save some pain.
Shoot it, cut it up, light the grill.

I aint messing with no Bobcat, I've seen what they can do to a dog.

LOL, no, I was a few miles from the house. While the Stealth was fucked up, it was drivable. I grabbed the fender and pulled it out so it didn't rub the tire and stopped at my uncle's to get his .38 rather than carrying a rifle back. It was right on the edge of protected game lands too so I really didn't want a rifle for that reason.

Wow, you guys picked up an injured bobcat and didn't get bitten by it, while I helped an injured bird off the patio and got pecked multiple times while trying to check that its wing(s) weren't broken from the impact. Go figure!
That's a bummer its injuries were too much, but at least you tried your best for it. I had a bear jolt out in front of me several years ago while on a motorcycle & let's just say I didn't miss hitting him. Good thing those things are tough and I only hit him with the front tire!
