22 light years doesn't sound too bad, but at our current speeds, we're talking about 492,000+ years away...

No, it wouldn't have. Salary cap, you can't eat into that for a non-productive player. He has no ties to Tampa Bay, other than to Schiano via Rutgers.

He wants to be a commentator. I bet Schiano finds something for him.

dude has a fortune in medical bills...and that's your excuse? drafted, not paid; seems like just a PR stunt. heck, they could probably get each of the other 89 players to forgo $5,000 of salary each & get this guy paid--it wouldn't be hard.

He wasn't even IN the draft. Thus, he was not drafted. He was given an honorary sign, during the free agent period. Why would Tampa Bay (who has 0 connection to him) pay for his bills? It was a nice gesture that no one was expecting. Like I said, I bet they find something for him to do in the booth.

Back to motivators.... watching an HBO special called Citizen USA. Very motivational to me. When you see why foreigners appreciate America, it helps you see the things taken for granted.
