Just got off the phone with Brenda and Rick. Brenda answered the phone and sounded pretty good but if you know Brenda she is the most up beat person you will ever meet. When she says "it was not fun" it means mere mortals would have died with the shit I just put up with. She did sound good though and said she had a reaction to one of the procedures the doctors did with her lungs. She wanted me to tell people she is doing much better today than the last few. Rick is worn out and worried but was in pretty good spirit when I talked to him. He lost his mom and very worried about the love of his life. Doesn't seem fair to such great people.

Anyway, Brenda wanted me to say that she is doing much better than yesterday. I want to say please pray for our friends. Even if you aren't religious it won't hurt to ask they get a break.

My heart hurts so bad for both of them right now. She is strong, but I know what she is going through right now is pushing that test to it's limits. I've tried calling her cell, but you're right...she's not answering. I'll try her room.

I spoke with them both last night. Brenda said it is the worst pain she's ever been through (this second talcing procedure) and Rick is just exhausted. Spirits are back up, though, and for that I am grateful. Brenda is just so infectiously optimistic and upbeat, so imagining her wanting to call it quits it just too difficult to accept. But pain can do that to you and she has had a lot. Thanks for all of the prayers, guys. These are two very enthusiastic Stealth owners and always have a kind word for everyone.

FYI, Rick mentioned that the phone at their house has not been working properly for those who may try to call and leave messages. He said it's a computer phone, but he's been having problems with it. He told me last night she MIGHT be able to come home today, but I am to call this afternoon to see how it's going. The visitation and memorial service for his mom is tentatively scheduled for Sat, if Brenda is released beforehand. Her BFF is on her way to stay with them for a while to help out and we are trying to figure out how to go up and help out that would be best for them but not overwhelm her.

Went and saw them both today. Brenda was up and said she was feeling better. Both are tired and could use a break, but are still pretty optimistic and ready to keep going. They have more long days ahead of them and really appreciate all the BRG and 3S love sent their way. I told them what everyone was saying and how many folks are thinking of them and it meant a lot. Brenda mentioned again about getting BRG, even if they have to strap a wheelchair to the Stealth and they show up in the their undies! (Not sure why they couldn't be dressed, but oh well!)
I'll post another update as I talk to them.
