Net change a big fat zero.

But, I'm ok with that. I'm working out harder and in better shape.

Ranked No. #1 in initial quality

Idiots, simply by being idiots, seem capable of achieving randomly bad things that are beyond the imaginings of sensible people.

I haven't been on the scale in more than a month. I was hoping for a nice surprise. Didn't happen. I went from 227 at the start to 221 today. 25% body fat to 22% and the best result was with the measuring tape. 48" waist at the start to 43" today. I'll keep working on it, but it seems big changes are not going to come easy. I do feel like I made some changes to how I look and my clothes fit differently, it just doesn't show up in the numbers.

I'd call 5 inches off your waist a big change.

Maybe I should take my diet (general intake of food) more seriously. I checked my BP again today. It was something like 142 over 92. Heart rate was around 72 so it wasn't out of the norm but sytolic and diastolic are both in stage 1 hypertension. I was hoping they would start dropping being that the one project at work is done and that eliminated a lot of stress. The only issue I can see now is I have not been sleeping well. I am not sure if that is a symptom or a cause of the high blood pressure.

Get that shit checked out! My brother died 3 years ago from a MASSIVE heart attack at the age of 44. He had gone to the doctors with concerns, but had no insurance and couldn't afford the tests.....he died 1 week later. I know not having insurance sucks and anything medical costs out the ass......but don't fuck around with this. Call ahead to find out how much the usual test will be and work out a payment plan. Trust me---good offices will work with you.

    Edited to add:

I know it might not be as severe as my experiences, but it's still nothing to ignore. KIDS are dropping of heart attacks, heart failure and heart disease now-a-days.

Thank you. It was very hard because he never said anything to any of us, except his girlfriend. We could have paid for what he needed. Now he's gone.

Great job on the weight loss so far. I know I will continue to work on mine until I am where I want to be, even if it takes all year.

    What Vicki says...

Even as a child my Husband struggled with high BP with no real explanation. He had a heart attack at 37.
BP meds are inexpensive and easy to take so why play Russian roulette when you don't need to.
It may be more of a medical condition rather then stress related.
