I pretty much had this exact exhaust setup but with 3" into magnaflow and mine was a TT conversion. I don't see any reason for a resonator. I had no drone but the turbos quiet it down a bit.
Have you bought this stuff yet? You might just want to buy mine and put a reducer on your downpipe. I was going to offer this to somebody that did a TT conversion but it would work fine on an NA. Also if you ever did a conversion you could just swap out the downpipe and be good.

I can't see the image at work, but I had 3sx headers into a magnaflow single in dual out muffler to 2 ebay canister mufflers and it sounded great. No drone, not too loud on the highway.

If you are planning on running a testpipe, I would go with a resonator.
My n/a setup was a Magnaflow resonator after the testpipe, then a split to dual Magnaflow canisters in the rear. I LOVED the sound. Exhausts with a testpipe but no resonator sound too raspy to me on an n/a. If you're going turbo, I would ditch the resonator as the turbos do a good job of muffling the sound.
guys whats the stock exhaust diameter of a DOHC NA from downpipe to the back ??
before i order the wrong one...
Stock is around 2.5, but has some areas where it necks smaller.
And YES get a resonator or it will sound like crap.

Don't go 3". Stick with 2.5". 3" is too big for a non-turbo car.
