My car is running well! (3/23/2012)

So I have long struggled with my car ever since I have purchased it. I was torn between two cars at the time and I went with this one because it already had mods and was cheaper. I didn't know much at the time to know that the stock car would have been the better choice...

Anyway. I feel like every year I have some stupid "edge case" problem that takes me a while to fix. Well, right now it's running well. I'm pushing 17psi on the 15gs with no knock and a moderately safe tune. It is super fun! Second gear feels like I am in the Gravitron lol.

I dated the thread, who knows what will be the next problem next month haha. I'm eager to start working on things on my list that don't include "fixing that weird problem nobody can easily figure out."

Great to hear man! Enjoy it! Such a good payoff after all those really annoying, technical issues ... good for you for sticking with it.

    Don’t you mean “good”?

Glad it’s doing well, mine is under the knife right now.

There were many times where I was ready to give up that's for sure. Too much invested at this point though. I would kick myself later if I couldn't get it perfect. I don't plan to ever sell this thing. It may sit for a while but at least I will still own it.

Lol good... Yeah mine will be under the knife this weekend. To give you an idea, the cutoff wheel, grinder, and welder will be out in full effect

Oh man, reminds me of when things came together with mine... It's a great feeling when everything finally seems to click.

When are you going to put in some race gas and run ~22 psi?

I started to think for a minute when I was pulling my trans "WTF am I doing with this car?" but then my cloudy irrational thinking kicked back in and dropped another $3.5K into it.

I look forward to seeing your next mod. I probably should have started a thread here with all the crap I’m doing now but I have been posting in the “what did you do” thread to show updates. Maybe I’ll start bumping my AWD build thread.

I'm not sure what you think you would break. 22 psi on race gas will be very safe and hopefully in the ~430-450 WHP range. As long as you're not launching, whatchoo worried about?

Enough to know he was probably out of his league, wrenching on a car.
