simply awesome
Wait, do I spy 1G brakes?!?
You're going to change those, right?
I am running a BBK GB right now, in case your interested............
No, they are 2G brakes. DBA4000 rotors with Yellow Stuff Pads. That combination works really well. Also using braided lines and DOT5.1 fluid, changed regularly. The reason I didn't go BBK (until I find I need to) is to keep rotational mass and unsprung weight to a minimum. I have read that rotational mass is reduction is equivalent to somewhere between 6-15 times physical mass reduction.Wait, do I spy 1G brakes?!?

i like it. well...everything except for the hood, i think.
The hood is getting changed.....or modified!

Rotational mass makes a much bigger difference if it's on the end of the rotation.. The rotors being pretty centered in the rotation won't make anywhere near 6-15 times difference.. It will probably act more like 1.5 lbs for every lb or so.
That makes sense. How does the weight of a bbk compare to stock-ish set ups? That would also be relevant to unsprung mass.
André
Most BBK kits are lighter than stock by like 4 lbs a corner....I'd at least get SCE 2-piece rotors, which alone are 3.5 lbs lighter a piece. Or if it's a drag only car, there are even lighter drag racing brakes, I think it was STM that put a kit together.
This is a street DD that will also drag. Interesting about the weight thing though. Maybe I'll look a bit closer. I was almost tempted by some Tarox 10 pot 2 piece rotor brakes a while back, in anodized blue. I have to go careful on the size as my track wheels are 17x9's
