I was thinking the same, surely the turbos need piping to match the intake?
I'm not sure if the exhaust primaries could be bigger, there must become a point they become a restriction... There's certainly not much room for them to become bigger!

Intakes are straight off Matt's 8 second setup.

Exhaust primaries, if to mean the headers, they are the ones that come with the DR12/13/1400 kits.

even a 2.5" pipe should flow around 913 cfm till it hits 0.40 mach (the point at which airflow meets increased resistance (drag) and flow losses are experienced)

    (1826cfm combined)
~1005 awhp requires a total Air-Flow of about 1826cfm at compressor inlet conditions, ...

i can guess those mufflers don't flow so well. you should do a single shot 4" catback. also make the ic piping bigger. do 2.5" from turbos to IC and 3.5" /4" after ic to tb. the intake pipes should be 3" for those turbos. make the car as efficient as possible. don't fallow Matt's setup. try to make your car more efficient than his. and where are the videos? i want to hear that dogbox. now it's video time pictures were only good enough when you were building the car.

I hear what you are saying about making it as efficient as possible but if I can't get it running right with the same stuff he had, then any 'upgrades' I make are just sticking plasters until the problem is identified.

As for the dog box, it is back at Elite to find out why it stopped selecting reverse (the only stock gear left in it). I will probably swap the Kormex box out after the next JDS round time permitting as a box swap takes about 10 hours of labour on this now.

I don't think anyone took a video as the shutter was down unfortunately.

We're doing a shake down run this weekend, weather permitting, I'll try to get some footage then.

start with your exhaust. straight 4" or bigger then with a muffler with 4" inlet to help keep it quiet. Matt's car was open 4" down pipe FYI. you can just remove the catback and run on the dyno with open downpipe. i bet it'll make big difference.

    Cat? What cat?

I'm not going to hunt too hard until we have eliminated the most likely candidates like cams and cam timing for example.

As for the exhaust, it has been assembled in 3 sections, so I can remove just the back section with mufflers to leave the 4" through pipe. Then I can remove the through pipe leaving just the downpipes. As for the collector Ray gave me an excellent tip on how to check if it's a restriction or not.

I'm not ruling out the exhaust system, but I have a hunch that the bulk of the problem lies elsewhere.
