you got to admit that was a bit wierd... I've never seen that before...

Oklahoma is talking to Texas... about trying to get texas to the pac-12... Big 12 is done... get in your super conferences or be square..

ND has to be going to the big 10 if they have any clue... A&M is off the the SEC...

Support your over rated claim (they are definitely over rated right now) or I'll just assume your ignorant anger is nothing more than a result of losing 9 of 10 to Texas since 1996. I'd be embarrassed of you if I were a Nebraska fan.

Nebraska just saw the writing on the wall and the $ signs in their eyes from the Big 10.

They also thought they could probably mop up in one side of the big 10(which they may).

And they also thought its best to jump while you can... They are actually the cause of the demise of the big 12.

Texas didn't help but everyone's going to be okay... Texas will land somewhere and be fine, A&M will be fine... Football will be better I think with super conferences. hope for playoffs! I am sure the NCAA is scared, if 2 super conferences get together they could effectively "mutiny" on the ncaa and eliminate the middle man. Im sure the NCAA has lawyers drawing up penalties if teams attempt to leave.

Not so fast. I do agree with much of your post (though it's not Texas' fault so I won't go blaming them), but Nebraska leaving was an event in a chain of events that started with B1G commish Jim Delaney saying he was expanding. He's a shrewd man an knows his business well. That lone comment set off the events of last year and the whole realignment game.

My gut is that it'll likely lead to the Big 12's complete collapse. Oklahoma and OSU to the Pac-12. Texas and ND to the B1G. Rest of the Big-12 fallout to C-USA or maybe MWC.

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.” -- Author Unknown

I'm saying had Nebraska been making the money in the Big12 they would have stayed. But ultimately that was the first chip in the rock... A&M caused the huge crack off that chip.

Yeah the big 10 allowed that chip but they didn't force Nebraska into anything...

When Texas recieves a greater share of course it causes cracks... So yes had the big 12 agreed to evenly split none of this would probably be taking place at all. Had Texas not agreed to take the lions share and claim they deserve it more than others(and try to justify it)... big12 would prob be alive.

But it doesn't matter, if I was Texas I certainly wouldnt be trying to make excuses or cover, if you can get more money, more power to you. You would be dumb not to do it. Everything will be fine and everyone will get the money they want simply in another conference.

I don't know why Texas is so defensive about the big 12 collapsing... Its the loss of a bcs bid division sure but there will be one for all the real teams anyways and I think its better for us the fans. We get better stronger divisions and new rivalries we've never seen. Change is good.

I wonder if the SEC would consider expelling Vandy to make room for a more compatible team.

Face it, Vandy is an ACC team in every way, fantastic academics, decent bball, OK football. Talk about Notre Dame and Texas is great. Though both have attitude problems, they'd both add academically and athletically to the conference. Adding UConn, Pitt or 'Cuse would round it out at 16, but I'd rather have Vandy than any of those.
