2a) Aren't you required to have a license to carry, or is that not required in all states? If so, why didn't the officer ask for his carry license and wouldn't his license to carry have his ID information on it?

    1. He got stopped because he was open carrying. Even though it's legal where he is, people driving down the street still freaked out and called the cops to report it.
    2. Since he wasn't doing anything illegal, he technically doesn't need to provide ID.. at least that's what I'm going with. That'd be like a cop seeing you just sitting on a park bench and asking you for your ID.
2a. He was in Oceanside, CA. In CA, you can legally open carry as long as A) it's not concealed (duh), B) it's not loaded (which it wasn't), and C) as long as you're not in a prohibited area (school, post office, government building).

Cool vid. The guy was definitely aware of ALL his rights. I AM pretty curious as to how things would have went and if he would have gotten hassled more if he had been recording surreptitiously as opposed to openly/obviously.
