I say slim down if you're unhappy Karen. A good method of burning off excess weight is to work out your legs and back as they consume the most energy when put through a good workout. Cutting your meals down to a mere 500 calories a day is downright insane and more unhealthy than being obese itself, you'll be on the borderline of not having enough nutrients and vitamins to keep your body going. As shitty as it may be... Beer can add upward of 2lbs a week at one beer a day with a lazy lifestyle :( I hope everyting goes as you want it to! good luck :)
