That hood looks sweet, but not very functional :P.

this is how the pitroad m should look. the FG one is only $299, and at that price, i might actually consider it. not the best "OEM-looking" hood, but it does vent the best.

vr4ever's car was very well put together. his hood was also the only part of the car which i disliked immensely; it just did NOT flow with the car. telling me that that hood has curves to it is, imho, like insisting that the world is flat. there is no way in hell the gt-300 looks like it came stock on anything other than maybe a lambo reventon. it is FAR too angular.

i stand corrected. gixxerdrew's spyder DSM is actually a custom fab; not a scoote2. the vents are actually steeper to vent more air, and it also has gurney flaps to create downforce on the front. i've asked him about getting one fabbed for my car.

Again, you're in the minority. Don't get pissy because the vast majority disagree with you. The pictures shows its not near as angular as you are trying to make it out to be to defend your argument.

again, you're wrong. look at the front edge of where the vents begin. yep, that's a 90-degree angle. the sides of the vents may curve slightly, but the leading edge of each vent? 90-degrees!

at the VERY least, the gt-300 needs to have the leading vent's front edge rounded off. it would look 200% better if that one vent was rounded.

IPD you blind? the inner lines of the vents have a slight curve.

if they are, you certainly can't see it in any of the pics. every pic i've seen of the hood, from every available angle...makes it look like the vents were cut out with a box-knife; there's no curves anywhere. i'll be happy to take a "closer look" at someone's hood at NG--although i can't imagine it'll change my mind.

if i had any fabrication skills whatsoever, i might actually attempt to use a pair of damage 2g 3kgt skirts and see if i could fabricate a custom vented hood; using the fake brake ducts as vents, rather than scoops. it would certainly fit my car's lines better.
