Must have been a sight.
After the full out workout Sunday my shoulder and elbow finally feels like it's going to be ok. Funny how much this reminds me of getting my car ready to race or dyno. It's like that 3s paranoia. Just feels like every little problem or imaginary problem is amplified. Normally I'd just warm up a little more and push through any discomfort. Exercising caution and waiting till Saturday before I hit the bench again. Still trying to decide if I should try and lift more than 405 or just keep it safe and simple till the the 4th I guess I'll wait and see how I feel.
I used to try to do one max lift per workout, back in the day.
I was my own worst enemy in the weight room.
My Doc says the notch-stenosis would be much less of a problem if I hadn't done all those 1K+ leg presses...actually, the last time I talked to him, I mentioned I had bought the Stealth, and he said, "Can you get in-and-out of it?" with a bit of a smirk on his face.
I can do it, Doc; just not real frigging fast.
Yea, I don't even try to go heavy on squats any more. I don't know how well my back and knees would hold out and don't care to find out. In fact my lower back is still a little soar from going a little too heavy last week. I did have a good day on the bench Satuday though. I've never been able to get 405 for 3 clean reps before, did it pretty easy and then added 2 more with a very light spot assist. I will not do it again till the meet on next Sat. 218lbs this morning so everything is looking good. Light workouts the rest of the week and plenty of cardio.
in for win. keep us posted.
