Sure did, pure awesome.
The Seahawks/Chargers game is probably the best preseason game I've ever seen.

Indeed. At Lambeau Field. Albeit preseason. We play you guys in the regular season December 18th. :)
my predictions...no, my FACTS:
-indy will NOT win the superbowl, and neither will KC.
-seattle will finish with a WINNING record this season.
-pats fans will still be assholes.
-raider fans will be even bigger assholes.
-steeler fans will give both a run for their money.
-browns will still suck.
-ochocinco will desperately try to outdo himself.
-still a toss up between TO and randy moss as to who the bigger assclown is (ochocinco is 3rd).
-regardless of everything else, NFC will win the superbowl. the AFC reign is done.

Watching the Redskins/Steelers game right now. Those so called "experts" that have picked the Skins to be the worst team in the league need to reevaluate their choice. The Skins offense is moving the ball easily against the Steelers starting D.

pre-season doesn't count for shit. i've seen the colts drop 4 straight in the pre-season, and then go on a 13-3 run. most clubs use it to give their benchwarmers a test to see how they fare. pretty good idea, if you ask me. you never know when someone who would otherwise be collecting splinters--might have the dynamic ability to completely change your secondary.
Well...if WE agree, these aren't such tough calls:
my predictions...no, my FACTS:
-indy will NOT win the superbowl, and neither will KC. Right, twice.
-seattle will finish with a WINNING record this season. Right again, but it still won't matter - absolutely no better than wildcard.
-pats fans will still be assholes. Been true for, what, 11 years - aw, hell, they deserve it, they dominated, even if they did it by cheating like the mob.
-raider fans will be even bigger assholes. Universal and eternal truth...at least until Al Davis has been dead for ten years, at which time the team will be denounced by Mike Greenburg as "a bunch of pussies".
-steeler fans will give both a run for their money.
it'll be worse, too, 'cuz the Packers used and abused Ben Roethlisberger to wreck his own team's fortunes.:p
-browns will still suck. Hilariously true. Call it Modell's curse.
-ochocinco will desperately try to outdo himself.
-still a toss up between TO and randy moss as to who the bigger assclown is (ochocinco is 3rd). Didn't Moss retire? I think Roger Goodell needs to somehow dictate 84 and T.O. play together - for the Raiders.
-regardless of everything else, NFC will win the superbowl. the AFC reign is done. Agreed, happily.

Of course pre-season doesn't mean a thing, but when you've had to read these power rankings showing your favorite team as low as # 32 (NFL.com) or #29 (ESPN.com) and you go out and rack up big yards on a team that everyone has as top 5 (452 yards vs 187) it's reason for optimism.

NC's season is already over... Jimmy Clausen? rofl and Cam can't hit the broadside of a barn oh well you guys got Derrick Anderson :)
maybe Cam can pick it up. Clausen... no, anderson no...
It almost as bad as the 49ers resigning Alex Smith for 5 million after wasting so much money and seasons on him... I mean these coaches get paid a ton to f these teams up...

Obvious troll is obvious.
Cam did a great job in his first preseason game. Made a couple of very good passes in tight space. I expect him to be starting for Carolina aka NFL Auburn (they have about 10 former Auburn players IIRC) very soon. I saw a few plays where he should have very obviously tucked the ball and run for an easy first down but instead pulled up and passed the ball to a receiver (which is to be expected in a preseason game). Once he gets into the games that count he will be able to show his true potential.
Can't wait to see what Detroit does with Suh and Fairley this year. Hopefully Fairley's injury isn't too severe and he can heal up by the first couple games of the season.
This might be the year I actually get into the NFL. In all other years I've tried and tried but it could never keep my attention. College ball is just worlds better to me.

College ball is just worlds more overhyped, completely un-connected to scholastic performance, and completely F'd up with whatever "post-season" there might otherwise be.

only in college football does the debacle of BCS reign supreme. college baseball and basketball got it figured out. pro-football has it figured out. college football? flip a coin on who the best team is. you'll have a better, more reliable shot at predicting stock-market trends.

Yes, I know it's only pre-season, but my Skins have been impressive against 2 talented teams. Held the Colts to only 150 yards of offense and just a 55 yard field goal from shutting them out. 901 yards of offense in 2 games vs 317 yards given up. There's finally real hope that the last 20 years of mostly disappointing teams have finally come to an end.

I never count on the preseason to tell me how the regular season will go. I have seen too many teams (my teams and others) go undefeated in preseason only to struggle to get to a 8-8 regular season, and several teams go 2-2, 1-3 or even 0-4 in the preseason and dominate in the regular season.

That's fine when you have a good team. You can go 0-4 or 1-3 and know it means nothing when the regular season starts. But when you're a bad team, you have to do well in the pre-season to turn the losing mentality around.

Still doesn't work. Few years ago the Steelers went undefeated in preseason and stunk up the regular season. The preseason is not meant to be a gauge for the regular season. It's meant to find out who is going to make the cut.

Pats will have another blowout season. Love them or hate them, you can't deny this.
The only two teams that beat them last season were coached by...the Ryan brothers.
Rex Ryan issued an open challenge to the NFL recently (paraphrased): I challenge anyone else in the NFL to beat New England.
3-4 running running backs and about 3 dozen people who can receive the ball and two of the best defensive players in the league in Haynesworth (raging douche, yes, but the lawsuit against him is crap) and Vincent Wilfork.
They're gearing up for war.
Don't confuse my confidence for being an asshole (which outside of sports I won't deny, but I'm just passionate about my teams. Been a Patriots fan for as far back as I can remember, yes, even when they sucked).

Haynesworth?? Now that he's been paid, he has no motivation what so ever to play football anymore. He's nothing but a big space taker on the line. He'll be a cancer in the locker room, a big tub of goo on the field, and a headache for the local population to deal with. All he wants to do is get in his Bentley, drive to where ever his boat is docked, and waste the day away. Football is non existent in his list of things to do. You guys have had him for a month now, and how many practices has he made? 1, 2?

"Over the back" without contact is okay, but on the reverse view, Hawk basically waffled him in the ass with his knees, throwing him forward - it was a good call.
I was happy with GB's performance considering the opponent and season-opener, etc.
Line play (with a few exceptions) was pretty strong - I wonder when we're gonna see Sherrod?
Great return by Cobb!
I'm happier than I expected to be - they didn't let down mentally when the Saints started coming back, either.

Looked legit? Yeah, he was over his back but he didn't even touch him. It was one of the cleanest and best defensive plays I have seen in a while. Because as you said, usually over the back means they were riding them. Either way, over and done with.

Cam has done everything and more than he should considering all the circumstances. He barely had any practice time with the team due to the lockout. Most rookies sit out their first year. He broke a yardage record in his first game that none of the greats had done. I was not a supporter at all when we drafted him, but just seeing him develop these last 2 months has made me a fan. Im stoked to have him. We wont do too much this year but look for us in the Superbowl next year.

100% agree. Not a chance in hell they will be in the Superbowl next year. Not only does Cam need to adjust, but you guys need a better defense, and offensive line to contend at Superbowl level. Cam getting better alone will not merit the Panthers a Superbowl.

How can you say 400 yards a game doesnt cut it for a rookie QB. Considering our passing yards per game in past seasons have been below 200 a game. We are also ranked no. 2 in total offense despite being 29th in the running game. Its the first time weve ever had a true passing threat. Just have to get the run going and a stiffer/not injured defense.

Sure, but isn't that self-explanatory for all rookie QBs? He was playing college ball back in January and was held out of practice due to labor disputes. Given those facts I'd say he's far ahead of schedule in terms of development. If he's this good through two games, he'll shake the cobwebs off over time.

We played football together for 9 years. We were both very competitive and then one day during high school out of nowhere he grew into a manchild! He already had the talent, so once he inherited the size he had what he needed to make it to the next level. He really worked his tail off in college and it looks like it's paid dividends!

Sometimes you have to rise from the ashes. There are guys there that now believe this is possible. Just look at that D-man 20 yds downfield causing a fumble. i still think lions > packers in the championship game...but we'll see. i have a lot of respect for what they're doing this year.

i was worried about the colts already having lost any hope of a playoff at 0-6....but since the entire AFC south seems to enjoy losing, consistently...all we have to do is win 4 games and we're in. :D

Was nice to see the Patriot offense get it together to finish the game, most of the game was fail on offense but when the time came to get it done, they did. Dallas has an impressive pass coverage, even when Brady had time there was nobody open.

Hard to believe the game was so close. Cowboys; one of the best worse teams.
49ers the real deal??? BTW the Schwartz/Harbaugh is a total non big deal.
And Donovan still sux!
Jim Irsay thinks Andrew Luck is a possibility for the Colts | ProFootballTalk (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/10/11/jim-irsay-thinks-andrew-luck-is-a-possibility-for-the-colts/#content)
at 0-6, this is (imho) the perfect time to draft a new QB. manning will be 36 in march. there is sufficient talent in the team to have strong winning seasons starting next year. the window of opportunity is very narrow. i think that if indy does with the draft lottery, luck should be the pick. this could allow luck to cut his teeth in the NFL while we still have a good QB in manning. this allows luck to get the best possible mentoring, imho.

Would be a good team for him to join, he would be in a very good position for success.

60s & sunny in Foxboro today, but 2 years ago on 10/18 it was a different story. Remember this October snow game against the Tennessee Titans?
The Pats set team records for points (59) & total net yards (619) & Brady set an NFL record w/ in incredible 5 TD passes in the 2nd quarter of a 59-0 win over the Titans
i wanna see the pats play the packers in -20 degree weather on a home field for neither. that will decide it once and for all.

The one kid I work with is a Florida/Tebow homer. He came up to me when he got to work asking "So what about Tebow, huh?", acting like he was great.
I justed LOLed and told him Tebow still sucks and had a horrible game. They were playing Miami for God's sakes. He should have won, and should have had huge stats, but he proved just how bad he does suck. Next Bronco home game he is going to get booed off the field. Stupid Denver fans.

tebow done f'ed up.
He should have milked his contract as a 2nd or third stringer, then got his dumb team to sign him to a much more expensive contract while all his supported cried "don't cut him, he will be great someday!"...
Like brady "the suck" quinn... rofl even Cleveland laughed when denver took his lame arse... Tebow is almost as bad...

it really does appear that the NFC is the strong conference this year. packers. lions. saints. even the bleeding panthers show promise.
the pendulum is swinging back. 90% chance NFC wins super-bowl.
