I removed the clamp first. It makes the big snap ring easier to get to.
http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o310/hptech4564/splitingapart.jpg
I had to pry a little to get them apart.
http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o310/hptech4564/bigsnapring.jpg
Since they don't seem to sell a good pair of large snap ring pliers around here I modded a pair of pliers with a grinder and it worked pretty good.
http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o310/hptech4564/comphousepry.jpg
little more prying
http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o310/hptech4564/arrowonnut.jpg
I lined the arrow on the nut to the dowel hole then also used a sharpie. (of course the sharpie can come off easy when cleaning)
http://i123.photobucket.com/albums/o310/hptech4564/markingthewheel.jpg
on the compressor side I marked the wheel and the nut so when putting it back together I had a good idea how hard to tighten it down. I put a lite scratch on the wheel and housing because when cleaning I know I would remove the sharpie mark there. :D

I just realized how little pictures I took putting it back together. LOL
I just oiled the hell out of every thing and put it back like I took it apart. :D
Yea no more shaft play!

this was suppost to be a pic of how you have to bend a na to fit a tt fuel pump. Its not much and the worm clamp is just for insurance

There are different plug setups I've learned. Mr3000 and mine are different.
Mine is the bright neon green one. If yours is like that there is a locking tab on one side that pops out.
Here is the best picture I could find of my ECU plugs.

Just a quick question. "That thing" you chiseled - you do know that is what holds your dipstick at the bottom? Is your oil reading still ok? I had (and still have) a real problem with keeping my dipstick in place.

Yes I knew what it was. I sort of reshaped it so it still served its purpose. I didn't have any trouble out of it anyway. I now have a TT oil pan.

Awesome althought ive read that before.
In regards to the oil returns does the stock oil return pipe that you cut the flange off have a thread on it. Im just wondering in regards to that nut coming undone and bolt falling into sump as the bolt doesnt look to be welded on the internal side.

No it wasn’t threaded. I did use lock nuts on it so I wasn’t worried about it falling out but that being said I probably wouldn’t do it that way again. The problem with it was I couldn’t tighten it once the pan was on so I had a very small leak there. I was able to grab the end of the bolt with needle nose pliers and tighten a little but it wasn’t enough to stop the leak. So if I did it again I’d probably have it welded or cut slots in the flange so the bolt wouldn’t turn with the nut.

So did you use a TT motor and put it in your NA car? The order of the pictures is kindof confusing to me.
Anyway, I know swapping motors alone is a lot of work, I put a JDM motor in a Stealth ES. To also do TT on top of that sounds like a "fun" time, haha.

It's a NA engine. I just pulled it to do the conversion. The car is much different now than it was at the end of this thread though. Look up AWD conversion and engine build.

Do it, you can leave out the boring stuff and just put down pics and information you learned as you went or helpful stuff that could help somebody else with the conversion. I'd be interested in seeing the thread.

You really should, if anything it is fun for you and for other owners to look through.
