the only guy i remember from the other site had the orange & blue 1g 3kgt; intentionally painted to mimic a gt-40.

Both the Stealth and 3K are/were raced in ChumpCar. The Stealth started out at Lemons but was one of the first to switch to Chump IIRC, it's now "retired". The "GT30" 3K is still going strong.
