    98-99 Digital Climate Control conversion

Hey all, I'm currently working on mapping out the 98-99 DCC pin out so I could convert my 91-97 harness. I checked out the factory service manual for both a 98 and 99 vr-4 and I've come up with this chart

Yes I have to move some of the pins if indeed my chart is 100% correct

I've also bench tested some of the connectors and it seems the chart is somewhat accurate so far. Any further information will be posted here.

It's cool to finally see the 99 unit in action. Keep up the good work. Personally after seeing it, I think I think I actually like the looks of the older style display better. It's just more colorful.

Does the new unit not require that extra controller box?

Thanks! Correct, the newer units don't require the computer, its all self contained

Where did you find that? I've been looking forever for one. Keep up the good work.

Thanks found one off of ebay. I decided to take a different approach. I'm going to use a diamante DCC and swap the guts into the 98-99 DCC. The diamante has an internal temperature, has a pin out for the rear defroster (could delete the defroster and ecs switch), has a blue screen (matches my car) and the wiring is much more simple. Stay tuned
