98-99 Digital Climate Control conversion

It uses the same connectors as the DCC and AC computer. One is an exact plug in and the other is a little larger. The wiring is different though.

I'm also working on sourcing the plugs to make a conversions harness. You will still need to tap wires in though as the conversion connects at three locations. The A/C Computer, The AC display and the lock controller. It's only 3 wires that need to be run.

the Diamante CC uses smaller connectors. smaller in size in every dimension I believe. I have some right here next to me. They are different in the style of connector too. They dont have the fold lock connector. They have a sheath type that clips in and holds the pins.

Well I know I was able to plug one of the Diamante connectors into the AC computer as that was the first thing I checked.

I got a JDM 98 DCC last time I was in Japan. When I get back home from Japan i'll compare it to the Diamante one I have I think they are the same.

Does any one have pictures of the connectors that are needed? I have a source that might be able to get them. They have been able every connector I have asked for so far. Unfortunately I'm not at home and if I was I would have to take the console apart. If you can get me pictures of the writings on the connectors, the pin count and such I might be able to source them.

Diamante DCC connectors. Don't have any for the 3S DCC o hand since its still packed up.

I'm assuming this excludes the 3 other wires DrGonzo mentioned earlier?

Anyone have a picture of it mounted that shows what everyone means when they say the angle of the display is off?

if you are getting screens from Japan then they are probably angled towards the driver in a RHD car.

That might not be true, I believe how things are angled, has to do with the dash and console moldings, those are specific to LHD and RHD, the components mounted in them are universal fit. That's not to say there aren't variances between JDM, EDM and USDM electronics though, as we know those exist in some of the components, ECU's for example.
