No more National forum on 3SI?!

Seems as though 3SI has not only told me I'm not able to post about the NG or NG-related activities, but now they've taken away the National forum, too. The reason Nabeem originally gave me was that the NG is a for-profit event (I think my personal checkbook would prove otherwise), but we all know that's a buch of hooey.

So it looks like we need your help getting the word about the NG out there. It'll make it a bit more difficult to pull the necessary numbers to keep the NG going, but I have faith in all of you - you can do this!!

If everyone points just a few people in the direction of the huge announcement (http://www.3sgto.org/f2/ng11-announc...acts-3036.html), word is bound to spread. How about putting it in your 3si signatures?

It's already been linked on Oklahoma3s and several of us had already been plannin' on coming. It'll be my first, but there are others that have gone for the last few years. So, we're hopin' to have a good number of OKIES show up.

Thread has been set up on colorado3s.org also. I'll link one off on the carolina3s.org forum but people rarely visit it anymore.

When I talked to DPF on the phone a while ago, he said that he would allow the NG to advertise on 3si starting a few months before the date of the event. I'd try calling him up to see what's up.

He'll allow us to advertise under several conditions that really won't work. I'll be talking to him in the near future. Last I heard, we could advertise in March or April as long as he's the one posting the stuff, which would get very messy and really that's too late for people to make their plans to be there. The guys at AF don't want us advertising because they think this is a for-profit event. It's a joke, really. They're denying people the information on the largest gathering in the world. Why do that to the membership? Makes no sense. But that's fine - we just need to find a way around it.

Thanks to everyone for helping us get the information out there! I've also gotten emails from chapters who are posting it for us, too. We're hoping for a HUGE turnout this year!

I think its funny that 3si is shooting itself in the foot. Imagine if you did get news coverage and there are 3SGTO labels but no Autoforums representation. Personaly I preffer they dont get involved.

I've been trying for the last month to get 3SI to change my banner over there....I doubt you'll be able to get anything out of them for this.

Not that it really matters, but the forum does still exist: National - 3000GT/Stealth International Message Center (at least for now........)
but there's no link to it from the main forum page so it will get virtually no traffic...........

So what is stopping us from posting the information up over there. Hell I'll throw one of my subdomains up as the link and just have it redirect to either here or the NG website.

......Or I could just built a page that pulls one of he NG sites into an iframe so it looks like my site but is really the NG site!
