Very frustrated, cylinders not firing, dash gauges not working

Ok so I finally got my car back together after sitting for several years. The car would start hard. I had at least two cylinders not firing and my dash gauges would max out. At times the car wouldn't start at all. I took out my ecu and discovered I had leaking caps. I sent my ecu to Rymer, he said it was making his car run on four cylinders too. He fixed it and sent it back, I put it in the car the car fires up like a champ. BUT it sounds like two cylinders still aren't firing, I have a CEL, my gauges are still maxed out and for some reason my passenger window won't go down. Any ideas?

If your gauges are maxing you have something grounded.

Come to think of it, I bought a new starter relay, could I have the wrong one?

it's cylinders 3&6 not firing. I think I'm going to try swapping the ptu for a spare I have, if that doesn't work I'll try swapping the coils around to see if I have a bad one.

Good plan. Just out of curiousity, is the tach working? I once had a grounded tach line off the ptu kill 2 cyls, I believe they were 3 and 6. And I know it's an obvious thing, buy Barb just told me her passenger side window quit too. Her problem was that she'd pressed the window lock button on the drivers side, and never realized it...

no the tach isn't working. What wire is for the tach signal?

well I swapped the coils around. 3&6 still aren't firing so it's not the coil. I'll have to try the PTU tomorrow, it's past my bed time.

So I tried my spare PTU, no difference. I snipped the white wire for the tach on ptu and ran a temp wire to the corresponding wire going into my ecu, no difference. I unplugged the wire and started the car, no difference. I went and bought a analog multimeter and got 5 long 3 short, 3/6 coil pack fault code but I know it's not the coil itself. Could my cas be causing this? I can start the car and pull the wires off the 3/6 coil and there's absolutely nothing. I did some more reading and I'm seeing people with the same problem but it ended up being that their timing belt jumped a tooth and it was screwing up the relation between the cam angle sensor and the crank angle sensor but since I have a 91' and just have a cam angle sensor this shouldn't matter right? (i really don't feel like pulling all that shit off to check my timing if I don't need too). I'm seriously going nuts here, I'm about ready to give up and let the thing sit for another 7 years. Could it be I have a bad cam angle sensor?
