Well I can't thank anyone else in this thread..I got cut off!

I have always been proud to be a part of this community because we are the best no matter what we do.

A lot of days my job drives me crazy. Things that I think are common sense are not to the people that rely on me.
That's my job...fixing their problems. I'm thankful that I'm knowledgeable enough that I can do that.

My offical title is Assistant Service Manager.

    I work for..well these guys!

I am an over educated dock hand at a local marina. But when you have a family and need the work ya take what ya get. Not saying I am not applying for other positions, nor do I dislike my job, it just doesn't really pay the bills.

And I got big respect, you are doing it. You are paying your bills. I vote you most likely to succeed. No complaints, just do it.

    I bend wrenches....

Started out my career almost 30 years ago in transmission shops. Eventually got tired of standing in one place stacking up transmissions all day, so I branched out to working for dealers and independent repair shops. Didn't fit well with the dealer life, so I've been in independent shops, (including as an owner) for the last 20 years.

Having the automatic trans experience, and in the last few years the knowledge of the 3S platform, have set me apart from the crowd enough that I have never been unemployed for more than two days that wasn't by choice...

I'm a pump and valve mechanic for SSBN submarines at Bangor, WA. Water systems, some steam, heat exchanger and condenser re-tubing, gear boxes, coupling alignments, determining and conducting repairs and overhauls of ships equipment in the time allowed during depot availability. I mainly work on the pumps, "The old guy" that had done pumps for 20+ years previous retired 4 years ago and lerned me real good in his last year there. Disasembly, cleaning, inspection, repairs, re-assembly, and testing are all my duties. Part goes back to boat, boat goes away, part wears out in x time, repeat, lol. The Russians could never figure that out, or at least couldn't afford it. The last BN is supposed to be phased out in 2041, meaning it will be 44 years old. I am proud to be part of that heritage.

Graduated their 4 year apprenticeship program 3 years ago.
