    Goodbye $2400/year car insurance

I'm leaving Detroit for Indianapolis effective end of September. In Detroit proper, more than 50% of drivers on the road do not have car insurance.

    Hello $600/year car insurance.

Michigan has a long way back.

Sorry to be losing you, Alex, but.

I pay that much(actually more) for 3 cars. 2 with full coverage, one with liability. I haven't had a moving violation for 12 years. Location, indeed.

Thats why if I were to ever move 5 miles south my cars would remain registered in PA.

I pay $840 per year for our '08 Odyssey and '03 Explorer. Full coverage on both. It's nice.
