Maybe it was a fluke, but the app I was talking about is FlightTrack.

I'd hop into this discussion if I knew something about phones.

150$ for a 16 mini ipod? Apple is a joke...
go buy a nexus tablet for that or a microsoft surface(soon).
Myself I will take the Lumia 920... Image stabilization, best camera out there, nfc, capacitive charging... clearblack display. fastest screen on a phone, Pureview camera.

Think I'll stick with my GSIII...
As far as Apps go, the Play Store is soon to surpass the App Store in applications. On the subject of paid apps, you have to look at it from a much broader view than pulling a few apps off of each's Top Paid apps. Generally, when an app costs money on both stores, it is cheaper on Google Play. With that said, there is a FAR greater percentage of free apps (the same that are on the iOS App Store) on Google Play than the App Store. Plus, with Android OS, you still have the highly customizable platform. You can move from apps, to widgets, to adjusting size of widgets, etc. You can set the phone up how you see fit. If you like page after page after page of block app icons, then the iPhone may not looks so bad. However, if you wanted to, you could do the same with Android. I don't know anybody with an Android that hasn't taken advantage of widgets though.
In the end, with the iPhone 5, you get a stretched out version of every previous iPhone. Nothing new, exciting, or flattering about its new ergo design. More of the same with a little extra. Personally, I'll take the more customizable GSIII with expandable storage, a removable battery, 4.8" screen, and DOUBLE the RAM of the iPhone 5. Plus, you can take solace in the fact that you didn't purchase an iPhone that was made under *horrendous conditions in their Chinese manufacturing plants.
*17 suicides in the Shenzhen plant plant in 2010 alone. Later, suicide nets were set up outside the windows of the factory.
Dimensions:
S3: 5.38" H x 2.78" W x 0.34" D
iPhone 5: 4.87" H x 2.31" W x 0.30" D
The new iPhone 5 itself is a full half inch shorter, a half inch shaved off the width, and slightly thinner.
As I said, any manufacturer can make their cell phones larger and more cumbersome. But is that really the direction everyone wants to go?
