Well for the intake manifold we are working on we will be needing some kind solution for this. SInce it's a fairly easy thing to make I figured if there was a need for them it could be something made as and individual item.

    keo92stealth,
The Q45 is probably overkill for most 3S owners... any particular reason you're looking at using it? I'm unfamiliar with your setup so not too sure what underhood mods you're running.

You can run other IAC's with the Q45 if you want though. Just have to plumb accordingly. I'm using a Ford IAC motor mounted on my firewall with the Q45. Work really well. A couple downsides of the Q45 though... They ALL leak around the shaft seals - though some more than others. This can really affect your idle smoothing if the leaks are bad enough. I end up having to compensate for the leaks by using more of my IAC and keeping idle timing VERY low (5-6 degrees) to keep the idle stabilized. You may also notice that low-speed stop and go street driving isn't as good either. The slightly opening of the TB plate allows quite a bit more air than the stock TB, so holding a constant, low-mph speed, isn't as easy. I end of having a lot more on-off throttle while puttering around town in those 25mph speed zones.

    Regards,
    JR

Thanks for the reply . The car is just a built 3l with ported heads and 280 cams . Running t3 hybrid turbos . I have an intake manifold that's setup for a ford 75mm tb. When my car ran it had problems idling because l had no way of controlling the iac motor to open and close as needed. Sometimes it would work correctly and the afr would bounce around only because I was trying to tune . But when the iac didn't work the car sometimes didn't start or when it did start the car would idle dead lean . I had the arc2 maxxed out and still idled lean. But I was thinking the q45 didn't even have a iac so I was gonna give that one a shot and see what happens. Maybe I need to find a iac blockoff for these cars . But they are so hard to find .

I have the DR intake and no IAC. Sometimes it searches for idle but most of the time it's steady.

I'm not sure. I bought it from EBay. There is no place for an IAC motor on it.
