The Q45 is probably overkill for most 3S owners... any particular reason you're looking at using it? I'm unfamiliar with your setup so not too sure what underhood mods you're running.
You can run other IAC's with the Q45 if you want though. Just have to plumb accordingly. I'm using a Ford IAC motor mounted on my firewall with the Q45. Work really well. A couple downsides of the Q45 though... They ALL leak around the shaft seals - though some more than others. This can really affect your idle smoothing if the leaks are bad enough. I end up having to compensate for the leaks by using more of my IAC and keeping idle timing VERY low (5-6 degrees) to keep the idle stabilized. You may also notice that low-speed stop and go street driving isn't as good either. The slightly opening of the TB plate allows quite a bit more air than the stock TB, so holding a constant, low-mph speed, isn't as easy. I end of having a lot more on-off throttle while puttering around town in those 25mph speed zones.
