What's the BEST way to handle out of state car transaction!?!

Looking for some advice from folks that have insight or experience in handling buying a car from another state. This is my first time buying car not in person, so I'm kinda apprehensive in wiring funds without having title or car in hand. So what do I do to be safe and fair to both parties?? Thanks for your help on this..

Depends how much money you're spending IMO. If we're talking 15k or less, then I think it would be ok not to go get it in person. Anymore than that, and I'd take a flight to pick it up and drive it home, or arrange for autotransport/escrow.

The one I'm looking at is a quite a bit less but not feeling to just wire money not having anything to show for it if you know what I mean...Just FYI it's in the Tallahassee FL area if anyone can assist with transaction would greatly appreciate it...

both of mine i bought online...but both were from dealership of some type. still, i felt like ebay had my back, if something fell through. without a third-party, it's a little dicey, imho.
